Editorial policy
The playscore newsroom produces sports content from verifiable data. These are the rules we follow in every story.
Sources
- Results, match events, statistics, line-ups and standings come from sports data providers and the Play Score database, updated by the minute.
- Player ratings are calculated by the Play Score model from each player's statistics.
- News stories start from verifiable public information (club and competition announcements, official results) and are written from scratch, with our own text, analysis and context.
How we write
We use artificial intelligence tools to turn data into text. Every article is generated under strict instructions: never invent numbers, quotes, injuries or transfers; use only the available data; keep facts and analysis apart. Long-form articles include tables, charts and an FAQ section.
Images and video
We use freely licensed photos from Wikimedia Commons (author and licence in each caption), our own charts and YouTube embeds from the channels that published them. We do not use unlicensed agency photos.
Independence
We do not publish sponsored content disguised as news, nor betting content. Advertising is labelled and served by third parties (Google).
